The thing about multiboxing is that you can have 5 characters on the same group, or have 5 do the same instance in parallel or better yet, you can mix and match characters on different stages of the quest so that you can funnel rewards to the one that is in a particular stage.

I don't even have to update macros at all, since i delete a char and create another one with the same name. once you get the kill, loot the box, mail stuff to broker, delete character. but if you have 5 paralel groups of 5 paladins at the same time, you can get a set of shadowmournes a week. Then start the SM quest, the hardest part is the farm part, which can take a few weeks. ( it got fixed with no patchnotes ) so now you have to do it the old way which takes a day or so. and up to a few days ago thanks to a certain bug on a raid you could do 70-90ish in about 20 minutes. that goes to show how much the wow client is sharing with blizzard without telling you.Īnyway, once you get used to it, its not hard at all, just roll paladins (thank you blizzard for CRZ groups!), get them to lvl10, spec all of them prot, go do ragefire till 15. one actually cut and pasted one of my macros that was stored client-side. i had some even ask to watch me do some of the 'hard' parts of the quest like the vampire quest part, and i gladly show them. I have been contacted by GMs multiple times, every time they check to see if im not cheating. the amount of tickets and reports i get every week is hilarious. for example, i have a shadowmourne farm, i get 5 every week and i sell the box contents on trade on different servers.

i multibox and i use the characters to get hard to get items. Having said that, i do the closest thing to a dupe, which is a character farm. the few 'dupes' were just creating client-side items, or serverside 'tainted' items with the same hashid. Items cant be duped, if they could, i would know about it, document it, and report it to blizzard. Sorry for the TL DR, its just that i see this topic come up over and over on mmochamp, and im sure some people do it after seeing me sell a batch of unsealed chest items on trade.
